Priest Leveling Guide

I’ve been getting a lot of emails recently demanding that I share my story and tell how I became the expert leveler that I am today. If you’re struggling to find answers your priest leveling questions, then you’ve come to the right place!

So here’s my story…

I was once in your position, I had no idea how to hit max level fast or anything about the game itself for that matter. I begun asking myself questions like “What spec should I use?” or “What quests should I do now?”. So I started searching the internet for answers…

I looked up a few helpful sites and got some answers, but none really gave a sure fire  solution to my problem. Also, most had conflicting views on leveling. There would be a lot of general tips, most that are pretty obvious, but never really specific details that I needed. I tried the official World of Warcraft Forums, but the guys there just love bashing on newer people. They are way to aggressive. Its seemed like I would never get a good answer, until…

I tried searching for more solutions and that’s when I came across Zygor’s Leveling Guide.

There was a 2 month guarantee so I said what the heck, and got it. The information inside toke me from beginner to expert in no time. I loved how detailed it was. It went over everything I needed to level my priest quickly and effectively.

Now this guide isn’t all sunshine, because at first I didn’t like it. I just had no idea how to install the thing! I’ve never installed add-ons before so this was like another language to me. In order to help players on both sides, here’s our take on the horde’s races.

Undead: [Will of the Forsaken] remains, to this day, one of the best pvp racials out there, plus the [Cannibalism] ability is a great bonus. As for the underwater breathing, that’s only as good as you want it to be.

Verdict: Pretty good choice if you wanna be a shadow priest (and pvp), and decent for pve.

Troll: Nothing here to benefit the priest. Although the reduction on movement impairing effects can serve some purpose in pvp.

Verdict: Hands-down, the worst choice for a horde priest.

Blood Elf:  The all-time best general caster race. Their [Arcane Torrent] ability is great for when your in a pinch (especially against other casters). Along with their high mana reserves, a great caster choice, but still not priest favoring.

Verdict: If you wanna play a horde priest, regardless of spec or job, this should be your go-to race.

Final Verdict: Horde doesn’t have much to offer in the way of versatility, but instead has you choose between the undead’s pvp abilities and the blood elf’s caster specialization. For leveling we recommend  using a blood elf priest.
